Muhtadun
Terms of Use
Last updated:
A free app offered as an ongoing charity, to support your worship — not to replace scholarly guidance.
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Muhtadun mobile app and the Muhtadun website (muhtadun.com). By using them, you agree to these terms. Muhtadun is offered free of charge as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah).
Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using the Muhtadun app or website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or the website.
A free app, an ongoing charity
Muhtadun is provided free of charge, as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), for your personal religious benefit. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. We do not sell the app or your data. The app is offered for personal, non-commercial use in remembrance and supplication.
Content accuracy and reporting errors
We take the accuracy of religious content seriously. Every du’a in the app is drawn from the Qur’an or the authentic Sunnah, with its reference and grading where required, following our methodology. Despite our care, errors can occur. If you find something that deserves review, please write to us — reaching out to us is a charity upon us — and we will review it with care.
Intellectual property
The Qur’anic text and authentic hadith are not ours to claim; they are the shared heritage of the Muslim community. Our rights extend only to what we have created: the design and code of the app and website, the translations and explanatory text we have written, and the selection, arrangement, and curation of the content. You may use the app for your personal benefit; you may not copy, resell, or redistribute our design, code, or curated compilation as your own without permission.
Acceptable use
Please use Muhtadun lawfully and respectfully. You agree not to misuse the app or website, not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its data, not to use it to violate any law, and not to redistribute its content in a misleading way or attribute to it content it does not contain.
No warranty
Muhtadun is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. The app is a means to support your worship and remembrance; it is not a substitute for qualified scholarly counsel. For religious rulings and personal guidance, please consult trustworthy people of knowledge. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Muhtadun and those who contribute to it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or website. Because Muhtadun is offered free of charge as a charity, it is provided without financial liability to you.
Updates to the app and these terms
We may update the app and these Terms of Use from time to time — to improve the app, add content, or reflect changes in the law. When these terms change, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Termination
You may stop using Muhtadun and uninstall it at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the app, or any part of it, where necessary — for example for maintenance, legal reasons, or if the initiative can no longer sustain it.
Governing law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, from which the initiative operates, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your own country of residence.
