Deleting your Muhtadun account and data

Last updated:

Muhtadun (published by Muhtadun) lets you optionally sign in with Google or Apple to sync your bookmarks, preferences, and history across your devices. You can delete your account and its synced data at any time.

In the app:

Open Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm. This permanently deletes your account and all data linked to it.

Deleting some of your data without deleting your account

You can remove any saved du'a from the Bookmarks tab by swiping the card, or by tapping the bookmark icon on the du'a screen. You can clear your entire viewing history from Settings → Privacy → Clear history. This data is permanently removed from our servers; your account and remaining data stay intact.

By email:

If you can't access the app, email us at muhtadunfoundation@gmail.com from the address linked to your account, with 'Delete my account' in the subject. We'll process your request within 30 days.

What is deleted:

Your account identifier and all synced content — bookmarks, saved du'as, preferences, and usage history — is permanently removed from our servers.

What is kept:

We may retain anonymous, aggregated analytics not linked to your identity for up to 14 months to improve app performance. Nothing that identifies you is kept.
